When Don Nowell Design designed the prototype model for his bike series, he needed some parts that he could not buy, such as axle end nuts and hex screws for the swing arm and forks. Don took a pencil to paper and designed his own hex screws to fit with a custom look on the heads. D.N.D. starts with a 5/16" stainless round bar stock and turns that down on the lathe to get the special shape. DND has had a 1/16" hex broach made to put the hex socket in each hex screw that is made for the bikes. Once the hex screws are turned threaded and broached, they are off the the polishing shop for that great polished stainless look that goes along with the polished aluminum parts and pearl and candy paint to make up the 'Motorcycle Fine Art' bikes.
