Doug Fisher needed a way to test the breakaway pounds of torque to turn the inner rotating ring that makes the dampner do its job. Don Nowell Design built the fixture you see in the photo to hold the dampner by the outer ring and the three dowel pins drive the inner ring. The shaft has a 3/4" hex for the torque wrench to turn. You look at the wrench scale and read the pounds needed to turn the ring and now you have a baseline to go by for setting up the dampners for each application.
